Geo-Caching in Lycoming County
Program Details
Teens - Grades 7 to 12 should register for Summer Reading here.

The first meeting will be
at James V. Brown, Monday June 20th at 6pm.
Students (teens) in grade 7-12 are asked to set an eight
book goal for their summer reading. You have your own
special collection to browse full of great reading.
When you sign-up you automatically are entered in a drawing for
the grand prize NOOK Color ebook reader. Use it to enjoy
the free ebooks available through the library's
listentobooks.org site.
We will learn about geo-caching, how to use GPS units, Google Earth, mapping, and
orienteering.
Students will be introduced to geo-caching.com and instructed on how to find caches in Lycoming County.
Throughout the summer, students will be encouraged to find caches and report their "adventures" on the summer reading website.A find will count as one book toward their eight books for an entry in the Nook drawing.
Group geo-caching opportunities will
be held throughout the summer at each Link Library and James V. Brown.
Each of the Link geo-caching programs are at 6pm each Thursday except for James V. Brown Library

- July 7th - Cogan House
- July 14th - Barbours
- July 21st - Unityville
- July 28th - Pine Creek
